Half Fare Travelcard PLUS available in the öV Plus app
Half Fare Travelcard PLUS credit can now be redeemed in the public transport Plus app.
What is the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS?
The Half Fare Travelcard PLUS is a Swiss public transport offer. It is available in different credit sizes (“packages”). It consists of the two parts “customer deposit” (payment by you as a traveler) and “bonus”, which the public transport sector grants according to defined rules.
When you conclude a Half Fare Travelcard PLUS contract and pay your customer deposit, you have a personal credit balance that is stored as a “Half Fare Travelcard PLUS” payment method in the digital sales channels of public transport. You can use this credit to pay for your personal single tickets in digital channels for a maximum of one year.
Using Half Fare Travelcard PLUS credit in the öV Plus app
The Half Fare Travelcard PLUS has the character of a means of payment. With the new product, customers can buy all one-way tickets and day passes, including products from the world of savings, digitally. Half Fare Travelcard PLUS credit can now be redeemed in the öV Plus app. To redeem Half Fare Travelcard PLUS credit in the öV Plus app, you must register with the SwissPass login. The Half Fare Travelcard PLUS is then available as a means of payment. You can activate the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS in the öV Plus app as follows:
- If not already done: carry out two-factor authentication of your cell phone number on swisspass.ch under “My account” > “Customer data” > “Correspondence”.
- Log in to the öV Plus app with your SwissPass login. If you are still logged in as a guest, you can change this in your profile in your wallet under “Guest data”.
- Select the “Means of payment” setting in the “Wallet” and click on “Activate” for the Half Fare Travelcard PLUS.
- You will receive an SMS with an activation code. Enter this activation code in the corresponding field and complete the verification process by clicking “Confirm”.
- The Half Fare Travelcard PLUS has been successfully activated and added as a means of payment. The Half Fare Travelcard PLUS is now available on öV Plus.
